Babolat is the world leader in tennis equipment and apparel. For more than 220 years, Babolat has been crafting tennis racquets, strings, balls and more to produce their #1-selling line of tennis equipment. While the latest technology and updates have placed them as the industry leader, they also have a history of being first to market with new technologies that have made it easier to play tennis.

Babolat has been the first company to offer racquets, strings, shoes and apparel for the serious tennis player for more than 40 years. Today, Babolat equipment is available in more than 100 countries from over 1,850 tennis specialty shops and 4,500 clubs.
In 2013 Babolat celebrated the launch of two new racquets - the Babolat Pure Drive and Pure Drive Team. The frames have been re-designed and feature Babolat's new Graphene technology, which is said to offer 20% more power than previous generations of racquets, a 10% increase in string tension strength, 28% larger sweet spot, and the fastest swing speed.

Babolat has also introduced their new line of tennis bags for both men and women. The bags are designed to hold all of a player's equipment with the ability to expand and adjust as needed.

The new Babolat Tennis App offers a seamless and connected way to enjoy the game. This App is designed to enhance the experience of a player’s equipment by bringing all of the technologies that come with a Babolat racquet to your smartphone.
Babolat is one of the more recent tennis equipment companies to use in-house branding on its racquets, even though it was one of the first to use them when they manufactured wooden racquets in 1775.

Long known for its wooden racquets, Babolat branched out into composite materials in the 1990s. Lacrosse-style racquets featuring graphite shafts that were lighter and stronger than wood models have been around since at least the early 1960s. Babolat’s first impact racquet (or "composite frame") was introduced in 1998 with the AeroPro Drive and in 2003 the company launched the Precision Drive. Both were graphite-based racquets that incorporated technologies not previously used in tennis racquet manufacturing.

These racquets helped to make the company a leader in the rapidly expanding composite marketplace. By 2006, the company had increased production of its Graphite series to five times what it had been producing at that time in 2002. Also during this period, Babolat introduced their Pure Drive racquet and soon after released their first string, called "Lifeline".
