Goodfellas | Folding Art Piece

Objective:
We were tasked with creating a multi-sided piece that visually expressed a piece of dialogue in such a way that could almost be heard.
Concept:
This piece was inspired by an iconic Goodfellas scene, the classic mafia movie. I chose the bar scene because the drastic tonal shifts and mood changes presented an interesting challenge. Joe Pesci’s explosive character, Tommy, is set in Futura, a sharp and bold typeface with many weights. The one he’s berating, Henry, is set in the quieter serif, Baskerville.
