PSI - Ψ - is the 23rd letter of the Greek alphabet.
Ψ is a symbol for: psychology, psychiatry, and sometimes parapshychology.
This project was created for the purpose of exploring my deeper layers of the psyche. I wanted to get to know the ego, the shadow and the persona. Some illustrations are a product of my own again, and some were created in moments of expanded consciousness. This project gave me the opportunity to get to know myself more deeply and bring my darkest neighbors into the light.
In the light they no longer seem so frightening and some entities have become a full part of me.
SHADOW
The first person I began my acquaintance with was a shadow. The shadow is an unconscious aspect
of the personality that does not correspond with the ego ideal, leading the ego to resist and project the shadow. The shadow is the blind spot of the psyche.
It was not a pleasant encounter. Seeing all your flaws, your complexes, your animal side is quite painful. But realizing that it's in you and letting it take a part of you is the way to wholeness.
THE DARK SIDE
We have such an essence within us as an inner predator. It only wants to catch us in its net and destroy us. It can be like a voice telling you that you are not worthy or good for something. It can also be an unpleasant voice that tells you an unpleasant truth that you refuse to acknowledge. But as soon as you hear it it intends to eat you up. There is also a spark of faith living in us that promises that all will be well if you meet this predator face to face.
THE GOLDEN SHADOW
The golden shadow is our strengths, talents and abilities that we may not even be aware of. Which have been forgotten or forbidden. Whereas we identify the ordinary "shadow" by examining what irritates us in other people, the "golden shadow" is determined by what we admire in others.
A golden shadow is something worthy of light and your attention.
The self is an archetype that is the deep center and expression of the psychological integrity of the individual.It acts as a principle of uniting the conscious and unconscious parts of the psyche.
It is not enough to know only the bright side in order to gain selfhood, you have to open the doors to the dark room as well.
