The Serving Library is a project by David Reinfurt, Stuart Bailey, and Angie Keefer (along with various contributors). The scope of the project is large, including a public website/archive, a small physical library space that hosts a design residency, and a publishing program which is run through both.
I created an identity system and three covers for bulletins from The Serving Library. While many brands desire high visibility, The Serving Library is more of an equivocal side project with a niche audience. The mark is used as a stamp of consistency rather than a symbol of the brand; its appearance on the back of the bulletins allows the identity to disappear in favor of their content, staying true to the original intention.
