Introduction: The aim of this project is to create awareness about social issues that have a significant impact on society. This portfolio showcases a series of illustrations created for Scope Impact Oy, a Finnish organization that works towards implementing sustainable and effective solutions to improve the well-being of communities worldwide. Through these illustrations, the project seeks to educate and engage viewers on three vital issues - Menstrual Health, Open Defecation, and Safe Water Practices.
Menstrual Health
The illustrations on Menstrual Health focus on breaking the taboo surrounding menstruation and normalizing discussions around menstrual hygiene. The project highlights the need to provide access to sanitary products, education on menstrual hygiene, and destigmatize menstruation in society.
Open Defecation
Open Defecation is a prevalent problem in many countries worldwide. The illustrations highlight the health hazards associated with open defecation and the need for improved sanitation infrastructure. The project aims to create awareness and encourage people to support initiatives that work towards providing proper sanitation facilities.
Safe Water Practices
Access to safe drinking water is a fundamental human right. However, many communities worldwide still struggle with limited access to clean water. The illustrations highlight the importance of safe water practices and the need for increased efforts towards providing safe water to all.
