The eye as a door to the inner world

Since my childhood I've always been almost obsessed with the eye.
I remember scribbling a lot of them and cutting out the most beautiful eyes from the newspapers to create collages. These pastimes I've brought them with me until today. I've whole boxes of eyes cutouts and I still scribbling, drawing and painting them.
For almost a decade I had a band and our symbol was an eye, the name also referred to open the gaze beyond the world of apparent things.
In short, the eyes for me are doors, windows, portals to unexplored worlds. I can't concretely explain why, but in this symbol there's the powerfull call of an ancestral force that has always guided me.

When I've painted on a big canvas my first eye, it was a lonely element, surrounded by a blue vortex. Somehow I needed to exorcise something, and the power that creation had over me was incredible!
Since then I've wished that that explosion of this ancient energy could also lead others.
