AD FILM MAKING
For the semester end Project, I had to make a public service announcement in the form of a 90 second film to raise awareness for mental health. I looked upon the social stigma surrounding this illness and how it affects people of various areas and walks of life.
It’s scary to share anything, let alone something that feels so personal. Many people we know have also dealt with or are dealing with depression, anxiety, voices or thought problems. If they haven’t themselves, most people have family members or friends who have. While not everyone will understand, many people do. And sometimes its very difficult to even reach out to people and even to our friends and best friends because of various reasons making us feel unworthy. I wanted to convey that we are not a problem or burden, we are a gift to our families and loved ones and they are always there to listen and help.
