Mythical Bird AMIHAN Phillipine Mythology Goddess

My Version of Goddess AMIHAN Mythical bird of the Philippine Mythology Gods.

Amihan, apart from being the Filipino term for the cool Northeast trade winds between the months of October and June, is also a character in numerous Philippine creation stories.

This mythical bird was believed to be one of the first beings to inhabit the earth, apart form the sky-god Bathala and the sea-god Aman Sinaya.

During one of the Bathala's and Aman Sinaya's battles. Amihan turned herself into the winged goddess to serve as mediator of the quarreling gods. The peace that stemmed from the two brought about the planting of the seed by Bathala. Out of which, a huge bamboo plant grew.

Amihan heard voices from within the colossal bamboo reed. She pecks twice and cracks the bamboo. Out emerged the first human beings, Malakas (Strong, the first man) and Maganda (Beautiful, the first woman). They settled in the island and populated the world with their offspring.
