Taste Harris is a branding project for a small group of ambitious, passionate and independent food producers have been creating a quiet food revolution along the roads and in the villages of this wild Isle of Harris. They bring new and contemporary flavours to complement the traditional Harris fayre.
Our job was to create a visual identity that equalled the fine fayre on offer. We needed to have a balance of luxury and a homemade feel. Celebrate the contrasts of fine artisan production in an untamed landscape.
With distinct typography, we created a wordmark that reflected the Island's geography. This evolved further, developing a brand pattern that echoed the herringbone patterns of Harris Tweed.
We were lucky collaborate with John Maher and Karen Mackay on this project. John's photography was a rich resource to complement our branding. Karen's web design pulled everything together and was an excellent showcase of the Island's producers.
