Nők lapja Article illustration
Nők lapja is a prestigious women's magazine in Hungary that publishes articles on various themes. I designed one full page, a header, a footer and an intercolumnar illustration for a psychological article. In addition, the cover design of the magazine related to the topic of the article was also required.

The subject is a current theme of self-acceptance. The article's title is the following: "Instead of avoiding it, let's break out of the captivity of our traumas." The journalist writes about her recurring nightmare. Their house is on fire, but she cannot escape or ask for help. She is completely paralysed. By the end, the story turns out as a real childhood memory/trauma.

I created easy-going, flat illustrations with a bold colour palette to balance out the seriousness of the article. I aimed to ease the darkness and give a naive, 'kid' touch.
