An installation for the exhibition ‘Papier Hier’ located at the ‘Koninklijke Bibliotheek’ in The Hague.
I was asked to create something for an exhibition about paper called ‘Papier Hier’. All participating artists were paired with a well known dutch writer. I was paired with the journalist, television maker and poet: Tim Hofman.
I had the chance to interview him about his poems. One thing that I found particularly interesting about his approach to poetry was that it sometimes looks more like graphic design than writing. There is a lot of experimentation with the construction of sentences, the shapes of paragraphs and the composition of letters.
Where he experiments with words, I experiment with shapes. The combination of these two resulted in this installation.
