Doppler Magazine is a fictional weather magazine created in a publications class. Doppler isn't designed to be an almanac or a chart of local weather happenings, rather Doppler is designed to take on weather from a national and international perspective. Focusing on weather themed ideas ranging from survivor stories to the science behind our climate to educational articles and weather technology.

Doppler's feature article focuses on the United States Coast Guard and the many challenges they must overcome battling Mother Nature. Rescues performed at sea are no easy task and the ocean is an unforgiving beast. We go behind the scenes and take a closer look at the USCG training academy and what it takes to become one of the few rescue swimmers.
