Creating Two Distinct “Home Field” Environments.

MetLife Stadium is a major NFL facility housing two archrivals: the sleekly modern New York Jets and the tradition-bound New York Giants.

In designing the stadium, there could be no compromise: the stadium design needed to work 100% for both teams. Collaborating with top designers including David Rockwell, we created a flexible system to transform the physical space from Jet Green to Giant Blue and back again – creating two distinct “home field” environments.

BMD approached this massive project from a fresh perspective: recognizing live football as
a cultural experience. For many Americans, football is not just a game; it’s a way of life. We took this visceral spectacle and put the fan into the story through an innovative “street to seat” experience, choreographing the fan’s course from turnstile to final whistle.

We also invented real estate that created significant new revenue streams, including four attention-grabbing Partner Corner environments, where fans engage in compelling immersive brand experiences.
