Sergei Pavlovich Korolev was the lead Soviet rocket engineer and spacecraft designer in the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union during the 1950s and 1960s.
We were asked to come up with a creative imaginery story about Sir.Sergie Korelev as our Final project.
Our Concept
We took important part of Sergie Korolev's life where everything was set for the launch of his first rocket. And, what goes on his mind on the final 10 seconds before launch showing each part of his life. Some, of them we imaginery story created by us.
The Cover
The eye was die cut and embroied. The reason behind it was since the storyline is all about what goes on Sir Sergie Korolev's mind on the final 10 second's of the rocket launch, we thoght that we could through his mind through his eyes and see whats' happening.
The pages showing each seconds of the rocket on each page with what he remeber's about his life at each stage. Also, the name of the book was screen printed with its name.
Countdown on the flaps.
When the flap is opened the image of the rocket.
Finally, after the final 10 seconds the reader has to pull all the flaps of the book out where each was written to form a 3D struture of a rocket.
Finally, when all flaps on each page is opened. Thus, forming a shape of a rocket showing that it is launching.
