This is a MetaZoo playing mat, UFO theme and it will be on sale for a limited time on July 2022 on Argosanon shop

MetaZoo is a collectible card game based on cryptids, e.g. Mothman, Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, and was created by Michael Waddell. The MetaZoo CCG also has a corresponding illustrated comic. The card game originally was funded through Kickstarter and was officially released March 1st, 2021. The Kickstarter campaign was responsible for the release of the "sample" and Kickstarter editions of the MetaZoo CCG. On July 30th, 2021 Cryptid Nation 1st edition was the first public release for the CCG.

So, the illustration is set in area 51 which is commonly related to UFO/Aliems. As for the characters we have common and not so cryptids like the Man in Black, Aliens, UFO, the flatwood monsters and some other characters that mainly related to the game itself like the humans and the cat of cacti.

Here is the sketch, mainly trying to fit all the characters and the actions in a way that is not distracting or too busy for the eye.

Now, the line art was done in three different layers (foreground, middle ground and background just so the lighting effects could be done in way that each section could have its own colour scheme and yet work together with each other. 

And finally the colours trying to be fun but sci-fi looking.
