Want to know how to interact with sound zones?

The notion of a personal sound zone has its roots in decades past, yet it has remained a subject of ongoing research. An underexplored facet of sound zones pertains to user interactions, particularly the varied experiences users undergo when employing different interaction techniques for sound zone control. This project delves into the results of an experimental study involving 60 participants engaging with three distinct interaction techniques—two tangible user interfaces (TUIs) and one voice user interface (VUI). The aim is to comprehend user experiences in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and responses measured through the COOL questionnaire and an exit interview.
