I was wondering about what place is exciting and interesting to explore and the thing appeared in my mind was Marfo-Mariinsky convent. During my exploration I found Monastery entertaining because of separate territory united by it’s own style and has a special type architecture. I was inspired mostly by reliefs and all revolutions in Russia affected on them. The convent was rebuilt and functionated as different places for 100 years. That’s what I would like to discover in my project.
The outcome is divided by 7 parts symbolising the main events happened with the monastery : the creation of church, removal of church’s property, all workers arrested by government, the club inside it, Stalin statue, anti-aircraft defence base and restoration of church. Final style and the photoset was organised in the style of russian traditional dessert food - "pryaniki".
