Colors
"Everything is blue
His pills, his hands, his jeans"

Colors is a very personal piece.
The lyrics of Halsey's Colors hit me one of these days when I'm taking a walk home and I decided to paint right after. I'd never done a painting that is based on how I feel from a song before, but it was perhaps one of the paintings that really spoke to me.
I wanted to explore some sort of confusion, anger, and sadness as a person experiences some differences. Be it treatment, colour, or feelings; the red and blue play a stark comparison beneath. It was also how it changes the colour of her eyes (how she sees things), and how she was covering one of them as she find it hard to whether believe what she sees, or how she would feel.
I was going through an emotional hurricane, when I found out that the love of my life had feelings for someone else; which made me question our love, doubt myself or even see myself as worthless. Riding through the rollercoasters of tears and suicidal thoughts. Painting has always been something cathartic to my healing, and I'm glad I'd created Colors.
