Private Equity Europe - redesign
Redesign completed in April 2011
In April 2011 the editor-in-chief of Incisive Media's Unquote” magazines asked me to redesign the monthly title Private Private Equity Europe.
I created a visually striking new look for the magazine, which was internally consistent yet respected the magazine's previous look and branding.
This was done through making a set of over 30 templates in InDesign. Feature articles have a selection of one-page and spread layouts that can be adapted to create a variety of designs, with minimal time required. This was done as Private Equity Europe has a five-day production schedule, and the production team must work on other titles at the same time.
I also created a colour palette for the magazine using a variety of complementing hues.

COVER IMAGE
The image used on the sample cover, above, was created by compositing stock photos of a gargoyle, a Paris cityscape and clouds, and then adjusting the contrast and colour balance to make it the image appear to have been taken as a rain storm was about to strike.
