How The Moon Travels
This piece came about as I was imagining the ways the moon travels across the sky and why a full moon's monthly occurrence often seems so slow to come by. Maybe there is someone on the moon who is making it so heavy and hard to move. I was inspired by the cool colors of the Northern Lights for the background and incorporated penguins as part of the team that moves the moon because not only do they live in cold regions but also because the contrasts in their dark and white feathers presented a new challenge for me during the shading process.
