This is a collection of logos I created for a musical revue that came to Chattanooga January 2014. One of my goals with this design was to brand this production as an event that was part of the urban culture--something in which the entire city could participate. I started with something simple and geometric, and then decided I wanted something that felt more raw that added flourish. My next attempt saw the use of Chatype, Chattanooga's typeface (which was honestly because I wanted to try a "love your city" theme) and a change in direction towards thematic icon. This was the branding that was ultimately used for the production. The final attempt is more in retrospect; it was an idea I created following the production that gives a small shift in perspective. With this version of the logo, I wanted to use the same icon and passion for the city theme, but also make it simple and easy to read/understand. The result, in my opinion, was something very clean and balanced--great ideas for the future.
