For my final project of my sophomore year at the University of Michigan, I created a sustainable fashion based magazine entitled Salvage Zine! I first created or sourced every piece of clothing sustainably, then styled the outfits, took and edited the photos, did the graphic design, and of course, I turned it into a magazine format!  This was a definite labor of love, although it was a lot of work I am really proud of how it turned out and think it definitely speaks on an issue that is really important to me and my creating.  The fashion industry is a huge polluter, fast fashion is quite literally killing the earth.  I aim to promote "slow fashion;" Salvage is meant to show viewers that sustainable fashion can be stylish and trendy without the negative environmental and humanitarian impacts of fast fashion/mass production!
