SZLACHETNA PACZKA (Noble Box) project was established in 2001 in order to provide aid to struggling families during Christmas holidays. Its main premise is the idea of helping wisely - providing direct aid in a way that it is effective, concrete and meaningful, but also giving hope and an impulse to act to the families that are struggling.
In Noble Box, we inspire people to leave their well-known and safe environment and become heroes that change the world around them! How do we do that? First, our volunteers identify families affected by poverty, visit them and ask about what they need the most. We also inquire about their secret dreams! We, then, carefully select families based on the project requirements, while making sure that our help will not demoralize or hurt them.
We want to ensure that the Christmas box will inspire them to change their situation by a small, yet significant impulse that will make them act and fight to improve their lives! Then, we invite private donors to respond to specific needs of the poor families from their cities or neighborhoods. About a month before Christmas, a precise description of a family and their needs is placed in an anonymous database of our website. From there, donors can choose a family that they would like to assist by themselves or with a group of friends.
In Noble Box we help people to unite around something meaningful and important. This year alone, the average number of people preparing a box for one family was 30 people! Additionally, we assign a volunteer to each family and he or she will assist the donor during the entire process to make sure the cooperation will run as smoothly and effectively as possible.
