Mama Says Micrograter

Micrograter re-design to aid in improving my mother's struggles with arthritis in the kitchen. The Mama Says project asks us to ask our mamas, or any other parental figure that uses the kitchen often, what kitchen utensil they feel that they need personally improved. With the struggles my mother has holding small produce in order to grate it, the Micrograter was at the top of her list.
This micrograter is designed to sit flat on a cutting board and gives the user the ability to use their palm to keep it in place and their other palm to push the hand piece, which also hold down the produce.
In addition to using the hand piece to hold down the produce, the pointed top edge can fit into the bottom of the grater to scrape out any additional produce. Unprompted feedback from my mother included "This looks pretty intuitive to use, I really like the fact that I can just keep this on the cutting board and grate everything I need to before putting it away. This is something I would love to have in my kitchen"
