I chose this piece to demonstrate a pyro simulation based on a reference video I took of a burning candle. I took reference photos and videos of the burning candle and the lighting and environment setup in order to create a realistic simulation.  I adjusted the parameters in Houdini's Pyro Solver dynamics node to shape and intensify the flame, and add forces to manipulate the flame's movements.
HOUDINI was used to model the candle, create the flame and simulate its movement, set up the camera view and lighting, and render the simulation.

NUKE was used to denoise, adjust the simulation colour, and render the frames of the simulation into an image sequence.

AFTER EFFECTS was used to render the image sequence into a video.
