In April 25th 1974, in Portugal, the military came together to bring down fascism and colonialism. The signal for the coup was a song transmitted by radio, that kickstarted the peaceful revolution. There was almost no violence, the soldiers put carnations in their guns instead. The door for democracy was finally open. More than ever, this is a day to be remembered and celebrated. 25 de Abril sempre!
