This is a self initiated rebranding project for the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. I wanted to challenge myself to give this brand a modern, fresh look that could evolve over time.

I used the ear of the letter g to create a fern illustration that became a unique mark that closely related to the typography and ultimately replaced the original ear to blend the fern into the word mark. The colors are bright and fresh, contrasting well with colors found in many species of plants. A secondary script font adds a contemporary accent and emphasis to words.
