Maranatha High School Food Program Benefits

A Pasadena, California resident, Kristopher Dreyer graduated from Bedford University and holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. Kristopher Dreyer served in the past as the chief executing officer of the Maranatha High School.

The Maranatha High School managed to create a food program as it aimed to create a decentralized process of making food and design functioning kitchens in schools. In this way, the school can create more jobs, feed the students and children, and create a healthier future generation that can carry the seed of progress forward. This innovation also helped the high school save some money and improved the local economy as all the food was purchased from local markets and people that grow vegetables as opposed to the food in the past which was frozen. The Maranatha High School donated all the frozen food to local shelters and the change was seen as a miracle by students who skyrocketed the new cafeteria and its new food.

The cafeteria created a better relationship between the students and the school as often students would come to chefs asking the recipes for several dishes that they want to try and learn at home. The cafeteria even created a to-go menu for families as children would take pictures with the food and the parents would be impressed with the quality of food served at the high school.
