Social Issue Poster
In this project we did a presentation over a social issue of choice, my topic I chose was deforestation. When coming up with ideas and concepts I spent a lot of my time on google looking up deforestation poster ideas. I saw a lot of posters dealing with time wether that was with an hour glass or involved a clock. I chose to do something with time as well. I went deeper into research looking up some more fact and information. I came across this interesting fact that 2,400 trees are cut down every minute. I also came across a fun interactive way to incorporate another fact that says “ by the time you’re done reading this 3 hectares (7 acres ) of forest have been cut down.” I found picture of a tree stump to use as the base of the clock. Then used photoshop to edit in clock hands and edit in a section of green to represent trees. I really wanted to portray simplicity but still portray the topic.
