The exhibition, Animales de compañía en el arte, aims to warn the birth and development of our sensitivity towards the animals that have accompanied us during the last centuries as an evident sign of a cultural change in which pets began to be imagined as part of our families.
The National Museum of San Carlos presents this exhibition with the purpose of understanding that the history of art also speaks of our own history. And it is that being made by men and women who live in certain places and times, art reflects most of the cultural and social changes. It is, therefore, a look that seeks to understand, through art, the harmonious relationships between humans and animals in order to also understand the links that we have formed and that are still valid today.
The National Museum of San Carlos, in collaboration with Comex, offered me a very important space within the museum to represent 6 animals with my vision by humanizing them and characterizing them with clothes from different eras.
