This set of conference collateral was made for the final assignment in GIT303-Digital Publishing. Our prompt was to create the following pieces to for an upcoming conference of our choice:

-program booklet highlighting a schedule/events/speakers

-table tent featuring an event/speaker

-conference badges to be worn by attendees

-digital teaser ad for next year's conference

I chose to create my collateral for South by Southwest.

After doing some initial research, I saw that SXSW's conference design materials usually feature one graphic pattern that serves as the theme each year. I found one that I liked on Adobe Stock and ran with it. I used each of the colors in the pattern in my text and other design elements to create an overarching theme. I wanted a fun, bold aesthetic, so I stuck with big, bold lettering and color blocks.

This was by far the most collateral I have had to create for one project so far, so it was a challenge to plan out each piece in a way that kept the design cohesive and strong. There were many iterations of my project that did not make it into the final design, as I did a lot of playing around and editing my layouts. Thanks to the multi-colored pattern, I was able to use that as my anchor to branch out my ideas with.
