Beat Em Up Opening Day

For my poster project I decided to make a poster for the opening day of a sword fighting gym. I decided to use Japanese Kanji to draw the eye of people that might happen to walk by. The symbol that I chose means battle because that is what everyone at the sword fighting gym will be doing during their time there. The cross on the over the kanji represents two foam swords, the type of swords that would be used at the gym to fight. I am trying to reach out to an audience since this event might appeal to them the most.
