Campfire Stool
For my CNC Robotics class, I was tasked with designing and putting together a campfire stool that was functional or aesthetic. I designed my campfire stool to be more functional. It holds my laptop, water bottle, and a card game box.
The Process
I first designed the campfire stool on Fusion 360. I cut out a prototype using foamcore to make sure that it would fit the items I wanted it to. I then used the CNC Crawbot to cut out ten panels of my design and spacers from a MDF sheet. I sanded down the pieces to make them look smoother. I treated the pieces with Mod Podge and spray painted it with blue and white to give it beach or sky aesthetics. I placed rods and nuts on either end of the stool and stacked the pieces with spacers.
