Museum Rebrand: Brand Book
The objective of this project was to research a New England Museum, address its strengths and weaknesses in terms of representation, and re-brand it. I chose Old Sturbridge Village, as I am fascinated with that period of history. The first challenge was to create a logo design that was scalable while still fitting the illustrative vibe of the museum. You can see some sketch examples below. We then narrowed our sketches down to 3 options to create digitally.
Ultimately, I settled on this for the final logo redesign. Below, you can see a side-by-side comparison of the current logo for Old Sturbridge Village with my redesigned logo.
I chose to thematically integrate stitching and fabric into my brand book so that it has a homey feel of being beautifully handmade. This brand book is all in the details!
