This horse sculpture is part of a series called "The Animals of the Emirates". The series focused on portraying animal that are known to inhabit the lands and environments of the UAE. It is a series to celebrate the wildlife and the fascinating creatures that share the land. I used clay because I wanted to use a medium that was natural and earth-like to represent the natural creatures. Clay is a very fluid medium that can be manipulated to portray the unique and different forms and structures of the animals, which is why I precisely chose to use it for this series.
