Kantan Kollektiv - Rebranding

Client :

‘Kantan Kollektiv’ is a furniture company that offers uniquely handcrafted rattan furniture. This rebranding

aims to highlight the evolving cultures and styles of east and west Malaysia and how they incorporated historic and modern styles into their furniture designs.

Kantan Kollektiv was established in 2019. Company who offers unique hand-crafted rattan furniture inspired by their travel. It reflects evolving culture and style of the east and west, and the old and new. Their pieces is done by family artisans passed down from generation to generation. As it is why, none of the piece is identical.

Problem :

The current brand identity doesn’t have the rattan vibes. As a result some people may think it was a furniture that doesn’t specialist in rattan.

Design Objective :

- To emphasize that this brand is specialized in rattan furniture.

- To reposition the brand is now toward to modern style.

Target Audience :

- Working adults age 25-45 who love hand-crafted furniture.

- Targeted from FnB owners, including cafe, restaurant, dining, and event decorator.

Brand Direction :

Kantan Kollektiv, simple and elegance of rattan furniture that will inspire and transform living space.

Logo Idea :

Using the letter K to represent the brand name Kantan Kollektiv. Rattan leaf is also use as part of the logo to show that the brand is specialist in rattan furniture.

Typeface

Century Gothic is a sans-serif typeface in the geometric style, released by Monotype Imaging in 1991. It is strongly influenced by the font Futura, but with a larger x-height. Its design also derives from two other typefaces that were designed to compete with Futura. It is an exclusively digital typeface that has never been manufactured as metal type.
