Entropy (Productions)
A soon-to-be-launched experimental label asked me to design their new logo.
The concept that was meant to be communicated by the graphic sign was very rich and allowed me
to delve a bit deeper than usual into some trivial yet beautiful mathematical abstractions.
The ideea of "entropy" is very well defined in the realm of physics so it felt natural to take a
typographic block, reformulate it into discrete components and aplying a visual algorithm that
would severely decohere the initial state.
I think I managed to achieve just that using a simple progression (using a series of odd numbers) while
keeping the entire composition sufficiently compact. The Ulam spiral is a good example of a seemingly
random and dissipating pattern that keeps being visualy consistent even after a great number of iterations.
