LOGO IDENTITY Ibz is a Sierra Leonean Producer and Engineer from South London. He needed a logo that represented him and gave me full creative liberty to create something fun. I wanted to be mindful of future growth as a musician with his interests in musical instruments and songwriting. The final logo is a culmination of Ibz personality, culture, and energy.
When creating this logo I pulled from Ibz's background being Sierra Leonean. The torch icon comes from the country's crest, symbolizing peace and dignity. I chose to color the bands in the color of the flag to tie these concepts together. The fire is a natural addition to the torch and in slang terms is used to describe something that's exceptionally good which felt fitting as Ibz is known for making fire beats.
Because Ibz is British, he also wanted a logo variation which didn't include the Sierra Leonean flag to avoid any confusion that he's based there. The badge icon instead has his producer tag and birth year and features the fire portion of the original logo.
