Insole- Identity Design

This is part of a college assignment in which we were to pick one of our classmates as a client and create a logo and identity for their dream company. The dream company was an app-based shoe rental company.

The company insole rents out shoes such as Jordans (from Nike) and Yeezys (from Adidas) to people who are into sneaker culture and want to be a part of the hype. The term InSole was chosen since insoles are a component of a shoe that is used to improve fit.

As a result, I chose the shape of an insole as my basic form and attempted to incorporate the logo's name into it. The grip pattern on the shoes served as inspiration for the logo. These grips always leave a mark or an impression, and I wanted the company and the firm's name to become one of them. So I employed the concept of impression by generating a grip pattern with the firm's name and toying with its typography, and by doing so, I was able to leave an imprint of the company in people's minds.

To complement the design, I added the term "sneakerhead? Rent instead" as requested by my client.  It is enticing those who are interested in sneaker culture and provides them with the concept of renting rather than buying those expensive sneakers.

The color orange is energetic, spontaneous, and dynamic. It’s the color that resonated with young people. Orange is an attention-getter without being too aggressive and it conveys transformation.
