Pozivko
Pozivko is a concept for an app which purpose is alerting citizens of Slovenia of potential floods. The app was made as an entry for Greenhack’s 2021 “Floods” challenge. I worked as a graphic designer along with four programmers and was responsible for the visual aspect of the app’s concept. The app’s name derivatives from the Slovenian word “poziv”, which in this context means a warning or a signal used to alarm people of the possibility of floods. The logo is made from symbols for a water drop, three hills that resemble Triglav, which is the highest mountain in Slovenia, and a notification dot. The application’s primary function is an overview of hydrological stations and the level of water level, flow, and temperature of a particular water body. Based on the parameters mentioned above, the flood risk level is calculated. In the event of a risk of flooding, the user gets notified in order to take timely preventive actions.
