Custom Handcrafted Trolley

Towards the end of last year, I had the privilege of designing and constructing this custom trolley for a lovely couple, who has a love for art, as well as a collection of fine furniture.
This piece was constructed from Meranti Wood. It is designed to highlight the natural beauty of Malaysian-sourced wood, bringing warmth to the home. With removable trays, it also serves to entertain guests and bring convenience to the host.
It was certainly a joy to work on the joints that hold the trolley together. With Mortise and Tenon joints, the precise measurements and cuts show the workmanship behind the piece.
On top of that, the Bridle joint shows the union of the wood being put together. This proves that there is so much more to show when it comes to the work and skill that goes into one's furniture, other than the conventional nails and screws that are applied to furniture these days.
We hope this trolley serves the family well as an heirloom for the next generation. It is truly a pleasure to see our pieces go to loving families, as they are all made to last a lifetime.
