People that donate to Canadian Blood Services are definitely life-saving heroes. CBS asked us for some way to let people know when they are in need of heroes to step up. We did what The Batman does, used a simple signal to reach out to those heroes.
First we educated people about this blood signal.
Then we implemented the blood signal on the first long weekend after launching; a time when CBS typically needs more blood donations on hand.
At bloodsignal.ca, we made our message very personal using Facebook and people's friend's images..
