IN CLOUDS WE SEE

IN CLOUDS WE SEE

Created as an expression of memory, 'in clouds we see' is a memoir of looking up at clouds imagining faces, animals, letters, following trails left behind by jets, colouring abundantly, learning to paint
As children we’ve looked up to the sky and wondered what the clouds looked like, what their shifting shapes reminded us of. Growing up, the play becomes pleasure – in watching clouds move, their bodies shifting in stillness and us drawing over them. The act of seeing within clouds is a sense of play as a child but is of the few curiosities that never seem to leave us even as we turn old. In rare occasions we find joy and hope and a child’s delight in moments of solitude; and I felt all those when I looked up at the sky, for just a little while longer.

The range of products made are all top wear alluding to the skies that forever lie over us; their colors inspired by the rare colours of the skies at bygone hours of the day, unnoticed seasons of the year & ephemeral skies of the night. For purpose of ornamenting the surfaces, techniques of discharge painting, embroidery and patchwork have been used, maintaining an irregular order in terms of colours and forms owing to the frisky nature of childhood, memories and growing up.
