Wayfinding and information system for the oldest museum of the Netherlands
The Teylers Museum is Holland’s oldest museum (1784) and reflects people’s universal interests of this period. Mijksenaar designed a ‘sign system look’ which gives the illusion of original signs, without appearing overly nostalgic or ‘semiantique’.
The wayfinding and information system includes ,directional signs, museum map, instructions, museum guide with historical time tables. Additionally the branding as well as the signage for the museum shop is developed.
