This type of art requires the same level of brush mastery as any other type of art; however, it is also way more demanding in the physical aspect of preparation. Often you have to carry a lot of heavy equipment around with you to hard-to-access places just to be able to capture scenery you deem worthy of depiction. Beyond that, Plein air also requires speed because weather conditions might change in the middle of the process, and the sun will eventually disappear, making you realize how short life actually is.
