Erika Gönczi's profile

Book illustrations and layout design

Erika Gönczi is a Hungarian writer, graphic designer and illustrator. Her stories, which are instructive tales spiced with humour, are recommended not only to children but also to adults since patience and courage are essential virtues at every stage of life.
Erika Gönczi graduated in 2006 with a degree in computer graphics. She worked in the profession for a few years but she was missing out on developing her own creativity. She started writing children's poems first, then tales, but only for her own entertainment. During her one-year stay in Switzerland, she took a pencil in her hand, began to draw and she created her first Peter Vole character: the tiny vole was posing in a funny red ski suit. Finally, she asked a publishing editor and a British proofreading company to work together to help her professionally. The heartwarming illustrations were made with Faber-Castell pencils.

Tropic thrills: A story about courage. A story for 6 to 99-year-olds, because fear does not depend on age. Recommended by the psychologist, Anett Sandor.

Something to chew on: A story about patience. A story for 4 to 6-year-olds.
