Welcome the White Sky Rock. This trail is not very long but it is very steep so be warned. The trail is off the Superior Hiking Trail just north of Lutsen off of Caribou Road.

This was my first time visiting White Sky Rock and it wasn't entirely easy to find, even knowing I was in the right place. Following the map above will get you to the parking near a boat launch for Caribou Lake. Park here and then head back out to the main road. Looking in this direction, you should see the sign above in front of a small path on the other side of the road. Here's your entrance, simple as that.

The trail is very natural and there it is easy to keep your footing but it is steep, especially near the end, but the reward is certainly worth a little exercise.

Upon reaching the top, I was welcomed by this American Redstart.

And finally, here is the top of the rock overlooking Caribou Lake. Oh how I cannot wait to go back here for the fall colors. Even in a cold spring with limited foliage, this view was worth the drive and the hike
