Nick Carling Counselling

A logo and website created for a start-up called Nick Carling Counselling. The objective was to create something that was approachable and yet somehow showed what it provided. I aimed for a marque that was loose and organic, whilst visualising the business proposition using simple shapes.

Various psychotherapy themes were explored including the development of self, unlocking one's potential, opening doors and taking positive steps as well as feelings of hope and trust.

The resulting marque is designed to be abstract and mean different things to different people. The central shape loosely represents a keyhole being unlocked, whilst also symbolising a figure facing towards a hopeful future.
