CF Napa Refreshes Historic Napa Valley Wine Brand
Clos du Val engaged CF Napa with the task of redefining their brand’s wine tiering structure. Subsequently, the logo and packaging required a refresh to support this strategic reorganization of their portfolio. The new packaging needed to honor the founding family’s ties to the Bordeaux region through a more contemporary lens and provide greater differentiation between offerings.
Clos du Val’s first wine to launch domestically in the new packaging was the iconic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The new label prominently features the redrawn Three Graces icon – created by CF Napa. The illustration was updated with the intention of creating a symbol with the flexibility to be used across diverse mediums while implementing a more contemporary take on the overall packaging. A refined version of the brand’s wordmark and swirls improved readability and framed the new illustration while harkening back to the brand’s historical packaging.
