140Budapest started out as a Facebook group back in 2016 with the aim of bringing together local fans of dubstep, grime, drill, bass music and other related genres. Among the members of the group, many well-known producers and upcoming talents emerged so the idea came that is would be worthwhile to show their music through this forum. At the end of 2020, Bergi and Vrama started the project with the same name ‘140 Budapest’, which eventually received 45 entries, 12 of which were added to the final material. The curator and quality controller of the copilation is the world-renowned DJ Madd whose music had been released on Tru Thoughts, Black Box, Dub-Stuy and Cosmic Bridge.
